About Us
New England Pathology Associates, P.C. (NEPA) is a 9-member private pathology practice whose physicians are board-certified pathologists with documented expertise in one or more subspecialty fields. NEPA offers a wide range of subspecialty pathology services typically found only in academic centers and large community hospitals. Our pathologists also have extensive experience in medical direction and management of pathology labs. In addition to its hospital practices, NEPA provides subspecialized outreach anatomic pathology and laboratory services to physicians’ offices and other health care organizations in the region.

Practice Sites
NEPA is located on the campuses of Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge, Massachusetts, and Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts. The practice has exclusive contracts with these hospitals to provide all of their pathology services. NEPA’s active outreach program is based at its Mercy facilities.
Support Services
NEPA has a joint venture with Mercy Medical Center, LifePath Partners, LLC, for coequal ownership of the histology and cytology laboratories based at Mercy. NEPA has operational control of these facilities that provide the laboratory support for all of its Springfield activities. The company provides customer service and support, regional courier services, and assistance to patients related to questions about insurance and billing.
